Requirements for Re-Classification
From level I to level II:
- All officials over the age of 16 will be upgraded to level II if they get 70% or better on their officiating exam.
From level II to level III:
- You have to apply in writing to the reclassification coordinator before Dec 31st.
- You must be supervised by a level III official calling at least a midget hockey game in a three man system.
- You should be working as a linesman for senior hockey.
- You must have all required supervisions completed on other officials prior to the end of the season in which you are applying.
- You must have purchased and studied an official’s procedure manual prior to being supervised.
- You must get 80% on your officiating exam.
From level III to level IV:
- You have to apply in writing to the reclassification coordinator before Dec 31st.
- You must be supervised by a level IV official calling at least a senior hockey game in a three man system.
- You should be working as a linesman for Junior A hockey.
- You must have all required supervisions completed on other officials prior to the end of the season in which you are applying.
- If you are accepted by the committee you will be required to attend a level IV/VI camp at your own expense.
- You must get 80% on your SRD exam (rewrites are allowed).
From level IV to level V:
- You have to apply in writing to the reclassification coordinator before Dec 31st.
- The zone then submits your name to the provincial committee at the semi annual meeting.
- A member of the committee will then supervise you doing a Junior A game and either approve or reject the request.
- You must have all required supervisions completed on other officials prior to the end of the season in which you are applying.
- If you are accepted by the committee you will be required to attend a level IV/VI camp at your own expense.
- You must get 90% on your SRD exam (rewrites are allowed).
